A KEYHOLE

Across your path I traipsed
Alone, walking along your landscape
Wishing to get ‘outta my head; escape

Beauty to surmount your everything
A strong pulling, even need; so, you believe
You had to have me …surely you’d wait to see

My quiet nature took you by surprise
In my deepest of silences rests the prize
Down to earth and equally wise

You saw me taken advantage of; a lot
Stressed, I’m good enough; rather than not….
Letting go of the misconstrued guilt; stop

My ship to almost capsize; you overridden me
You saw the little I had left inside; forebode others to see
Bringing my spirits to rise; you were driven…..

The Key

You helped set me
FREE
